Yeah! I got myself a table for next year's Anime Expo in the Los Angeles convention center. This will be my first time doing artist alley. And I have one word for how I'm feeling about it, EXCITED! Then the excitement turns to anxiety and then the anxiety to being overwhelmed then back to excited. I'm researching this topic so I can be prepared. There are SO MANY resources to properly research how to do artist alley properly. I'm thankful for them but still overwhelmed! @_@ So much to read! Where do I start? Who do I ask? What kind of timeline do I make? I have alot of questions but, I'm ready.
Right now, my main focus is to research what fanart to sell and CAN I sell it. I don't want to be sued on my first attempt at this. My list of things to start making art for are (in no particular order):
Fooly Cooly, Powerpuff Girls Z, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, Avatar the Last Airbender + Legend of Korra, Adventure Time, Bayonetta, Dead Space, Portal2, Team Fortress2, Empowered, Alphonse Mucha, Gil Elvgren, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Totoro, Jem, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Miku Hatsune and friends, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Ouran High School Host Club, Gurren Lagann, Lucky Star, ROD, Paranoia Agent, AND D.N. Angel.
That's the start of the list. It will shrink, depending on how I plan my time and what I learn from my research. I would greatly appreciate anyone else help or advice in planning this event. So far, I've brought together these links.
